For this episode I’ve invited Satsuki Shibuya, an established Painter, Poet & Spiritual Thinker working and living in Los Angeles, California. What I admire the most about Satsuki is her intuitive nature and spiritual practice and wisdom gained from years of experimentation, confusion, and a whole lot of divine trust. Her experience, beautifully infuses her light and dreamy paintings, her poetry and the way she show up as an human being. Enjoy the interview.

SATSUKI’S QUOTES

My creative practice would not exist if it wasn’t for the spiritual aspect of it.
— ON BEING A SPIRITUAL ARTIST
I don’t think we give ourselves enough credit, that’s why we have imposter syndrome and all these different things. In reality, we all have a very strong inner compas that is all contuining to lead us in the direction that we need to, so it’s just a matter of listening and tuning into that.
— ON TRUSTING OUR INTUITIVE NATURE
What if I painted how I felt? What I am feeling inside? What I am seeing inside? What would it look like? This, was the 1st time I felt like I created something that was from my soul, my spirit, and I’ve never created anything from there before.
— ON BIRTHING HER ENERGY PAINTINGS
